If you look at Portumna on Google Maps there are very few businesses or attractions marked on it. This means if someone is thinking of coming to Portumna and uses Google Maps to see what there is here, the place looks very blank. Similarly, if someone is looking for somewhere to go and types "sailing" in to Google Maps, Portumna will not show up as a destination. This is an area that we should really be capitalising on, and it's free.

Here's what we need to do: get EVERY business in town to go to Google Maps and place their business on it; then get EVERY club in town to do the same; then get every amenity and attraction to do the same.

The result: free advertising of Portumna, number 1; if anyone thinks of coming to Portumna, the place will look on Google Maps like it has everything to offer (which it does), number 2; and, if someone is thinking of doing, for example, "sailing" or "forest walking", and isn't particular about where they go, then Portumna can show up as a viable option.

For me, it's a no-brainer - let's get Portumna on the (Google) Map!
